Arrival

From the north:
Take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, A10/Tauernautobahn towards Villach until the St. Michael exit (toll station).
In case of heavy traffic or possible congestion in front of the Tauern Tunnel, we recommend the following route: Munich-Salzburg motorway, A10/Tauernautobahn towards Villach, exit Radstadt/Altenmarkt, then take the A10 towards Villach. In case of heavy traffic or possible congestion before the Tauern Tunnel, we recommend the following route: Munich-Salzburg motorway, A10/Tauern motorway towards Villach, exit Radstadt/Altenmarkt, continue on the B99 via Radstadt, to Obertauern and Mauterndorf to St. Michael

From the city of Salzburg (train station/airport) by bus:
There are direct bus connections every two hours from Salzburg to Lungau and from Lungau to Salzburg. With the Guest Mobility Ticket, which you can obtain from us, you can even travel within the province of Salzburg for FREE!

From the east:
Vienna – Semmering Tunnel – Leoben – Unzmarkt – Scheifling – Murau – Tamsweg – St. Michael
or Vienna – A1 Westautobahn to Salzburg – A10/Tauernautobahn towards Villach to the St. Michael exit (toll station)

From the south:
Motorway: Udine – Tarvisio – Villach, A10/Tauernautobahn towards Germany/Salzburg – Katschberg Tunnel – St. Michael exit (toll booth). (If there is traffic congestion before the Katschberg Tunnel, we recommend taking the Rennweg exit and continuing via Katschberg to St. Michael).
